Referrals
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist and can book a private consultation. However, if you want to claim Medicare rebates, you will need a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Please book an appointment with your GP to discuss your eligibility.

50-60 min session: $215
Report or letter writing - on request and charged relative to the time taken.

Medicare Rebates
Eligible clients can access up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Medicare rebate: $96.65 per session
Gap fee: $118.35

Chronic Disease Management Plan
If you are experiencing a chronic medical condition with significant mental health concerns, please discuss this with your GP as you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan where you could access up to 5 psychology sessions.
Medicare rebate: $60.35 per session
Gap fee: $154.65

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Referrals and payments accepted for clients who are self-managed under the NDIS.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
This practice accepts referrals from DVA. No gap fee will be charged to card holder veterans covered for mental health treatment.

Private Health Insurance
Please contact your private health insurance provider to confirm your eligibility to claim private health insurance rebates for psychology sessions. Note, you will not be allowed to claim both a Medicare rebate and private health insurance simultaneously.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice so that your time can be offered to someone else, otherwise you may be charged a cancellation fee.

Note: The Australian Psychological Society's recommended fee for a 46 to 60-minute psychology session in 2025 is $311.
